Australian Music History:
Australian music started years back when the native aboriginal people sung songs around a fire, dancing in the night about Australia's wildlife and their God. Their music is like socialising and welcoming others into community. This music is very traditional and ceremonial, this music is set back about 60 000 years ago. This music has still maintained to be the same as it is still a very warm song and dance.
Since then Australia's music has been offered a variety of different genres such as Folk, Country, Electronic Dance, R&B/ Hip-hop, Jazz, Hard rock, Metal, Acoustic and the most popular of them all, Pop. Pop has been renound for it's different and moving beats, fast or slow. It is an exciting genre and from this genre others take into place such as childrens music and the already named Electronic dance & Hip-hop.
Music is a massive part of Australia. It is a never ending connection with everyone in the nation. Songs are downloaded from the internet everyday by the MILLIONS!!! That really does prove why Australia has a vast, exciting, moving and traditional of music for everyone to listen to.

International Instruments:
Guitar: The guitar is a classical instrument played centuries ago. Guitar is a stringed instrument that is strummed or plucked with either a pick a hand. Guitars are constructed from various types of wood and are strung together with nylon or steel strings. Acoustic Guitars are made with a hollow body and a thick round neck. The Strings on an Acoustic guitar are made for vibrating sound into the hole inside the guitar for a more truthful sound. Whereas Electeric guitars have steel strings with less vibration but are made with pickups, picking up soft sound and turning it into a good feeling sound when played through an amplifier.
Cabasa: The Cabasa, a similiar instrument to the Shekere (An instrument from West Africa consisting of a dried gourd with beads woven into a net covering the gourd). The Cabasa is a percussion instrument. This instrument is made of gourd like the Shekere was originally of African origin, and constructed from dried oval or pear-shaped gourds with beads strung on the outer surface. The metal cabasa was created by Martin Cohen, founder of Latin percussion. The Cabasa is a useful instrument, even though it can perform a decent beat it is also used for people with a physical disability. If shaken the disabled person can feel the beat and can tap the beat with thier hand.
Drum Kit:
A drum kit (also drum set,or trap set) is a collection of drums, cymbals and often other percussion instruments, arranged for convenience when played by a drummer. These instruments are used to keep beat. The drum kit is useful when used when a band is struggling to keep a particular tempo. An electronic drum, however is a percussion instrument in which the sound is generated by an electronic waveform generator or sampler instead of by acoustic vibration.
Bagpipes: The Bagpipes is an wind instrument made of various different pipes. Each pipe is connected to a bag storing air. When air is blown in a pipe it makes a very different sound to any other wind instrument. Each pipe makes a unique sound to any other of its pipes. Like any intruments their is normally a base note or beat leading up to a high pitch sound. The origin of this instrument is Scottish but are produced in regions around the world. Such as Europe, Northern Africa, the Persian Gulf and the Caucasus. The country where most bagpipes of this generation is Scotland, first befor Pakistan.
